No topic is off-limits and I always take your lead. In therapy, we'll create a variety of conversations, but the following topics are especially familiar:
College Transitions
Depression, Anxiety, Panic
Health Challenges
Loss & Grief
Identity & Spirituality
I find most people begin therapy when at a threshold, transitioning from one way of living to another. These crossing-over places are rich with complexity and tender ways of feeling.
Whether in identity, relationships, or life stage, transitions tend to stir questions about who we are and what's ahead. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore these questions with care.
Narrative Therapy guides these conversations. I'm especially curious about the stories we hold about ourselves, our lives, and those not being lived out in more preferred ways.
Trained in Bowen Family Systems, I believe it's helpful to view our identities and experiences in the context of the relationships, systems and cultures we've known.
My work is informed by post-modern perspectives and Feminist Theory. I'm often interested in exploring the ways gender, power, and privilege have shaped our realities.
I view our mental health as one dimension of our lives. As an Integrative Mental Health Professional, I'm attentive to our physical, mental, emotional, spiritual selves.
I'm passionate about supporting women holistically, attending to the many ways lifestyle wellness and nutrition impact our health and state of being.
I provide culturally humble, trauma-informed therapy and am LGBTQ+ affirming.
Still curious about my approach to therapy? I welcome your questions.
