Be patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart.

Rainer Maria Rilke

Ethos

Beliefs + Values

My ethos begins with a deep curiosity about the stories we carry about ourselves and our lives—especially when those stories no longer support the ways we hope to live.

Narrative Therapy guides these conversations, inviting us to consider how language, meaning, and identity take shape over time, and how new, more life-giving stories may begin to emerge.

I’m trained in Bowen Family Systems, which recognizes that our lives unfold within networks of relationship. The patterns, loyalties, and emotional climates of families and communities often influence how we come to understand ourselves. Exploring these relational contexts can offer clarity and compassion for experiences that may once have felt confusing or isolating.

My work is further informed by post-modern perspectives and Feminist Theory. I remain attentive to the ways gender, power, and privilege shape the stories available to us and the realities we come to inhabit. In our conversations, there is space to explore these influences while honoring your own knowledge, values, and lived experience.

At the heart of my ethos is the understanding that mental health is only one dimension of a larger human experience. As an integrative mental health professional, I consider the interconnected nature of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

I’m particularly passionate about supporting women holistically, including the meaningful ways lifestyle wellness and nutrition can influence overall health.

My practice is culturally humble, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ affirming.

In a time when many conversations feel polarized, I value creating space for thoughtful dialogue that honors the complexity of people's lives and the cultural stories that shape how we understand ourselves and one another.

If you find yourself curious about how these perspectives might shape our work together, I welcome your questions—in beginning therapy and across time.
